It looks like a traditional, old-school alarm clock but it offers so much more. When we reviewed the Lenovo Smart Clock Essential, we described it as tech meets nostalgia because it truly is. Why you should buy the Lenovo Smart Clock Essential Not only that, but it’s going for an incredibly low $12 at Walmart, rather than the usual $50 you’d find it for, and even better, that’s lower than the $15 it was going for last week! It acts like a traditional alarm clock but with a few added features to get the most out of it. Of course, for a lot of folks, they want to get away from over-reliance on a phone and opening it first thing in the morning, which is where the Lenovo Smart Clock Essential comes in. I have tried going through the settings, changing the default alarm to something not annoying (still beeps instead), leaving Spotify open overnight, logging in and out, and updating both apps.If you weren’t born before the 2000s, you may not be familiar with the traditional alarm clock that sits next to your bedside, especially since all the same functions can be found on a mobile these days anyway. Because it happens in the morning I always forget to screencap it because I'm groggy and was just woken up to a loud beep instead of some chill music.Ĭlicking it takes me in to pick a Spotify option and acts like nothing is wrong, but if the alarm is in the distant future Spotify will disconnect again before the alarm goes off. When I check the alarm there is a ! next to spotify in the alarm settings and it says "Log back into Spotify" or something of that nature. Before updating this all worked just fine, but my alarms now instead blare a loud beeping noise every morning. Until recently I was still on a previous version of Android because I hate android 13, but I was forced to update. I have it set to play a "chill mix" playlist on Spotify for me every morning for my alarm tones. I do not seem to have the recent issue with the volume being too low on alarms, but I have a different issue I don't see mentioned. If this is true I am 100% ending my spotify subscription. It said that Spotify ended 3rd party access features. I went to hook up a new google home mini and it did not let me hook up spotify for it. Please go to the spotify support link and bother them instead of flooding my inbox with the same response every day.ĮDIT: I think this is an issue with spotify. ![]() This is the same thing almost every person responding here has said. It tells you to log in every time and plays the default default alarm regardless of what you have the default set to. It works when the alarm is shortly after the time you set it, but not if it is several hours later.
